King Charles has been cautioned about the "risks" of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embarking on further "semi-royal tours", with one royal expert advising him to halt such trips.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have recently concluded their trip to Nigeria, where they participated in fundraising events and met with influential individuals. The pair now have additional journeys lined up and are eager to share specifics with their followers in the upcoming weeks after Harry expressed their anticipation for more travel.

However, royal commentator Richard Eden has implied that the King should be apprehensive about these plans and encouraged him to intervene, reports the Mirror.

While appearing on Palace Confidential, Richard remarked: "Harry made a comment about this being the first of many and I've been hearing whispers in diplomatic circles here that there is significant concern about this because it is very risky. You've got Harry and Meghan potentially visiting countries without that control that we have."

As he called for the King to intervene, Richard continued: "Any trips by royals are organised by the foreign office, it's all monitored, you make sure they're not being exploited, but in this case, Harry and Meghan are susceptible to manipulation by foreign governments who may not have Britain or America's best interests at heart and I think it is dangerous."

A source close to the Sussexes revealed: "The Duke and Duchess have other trips planned for the remainder of the year. They are hoping to be able to share more details in the coming weeks. It is definitely possible they could return to Africa for more tours after that."

In a candid chat with People magazine, Harry emphasised the significance of such visits: "It is hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change."

Further adding to his commitment, Harry stated: "There's only so much one can do from home and over Zoom, so we look forward to traveling more because the work matters. Whether it's the Archewell Foundation, Invictus or any of our other causes, there will always be reasons to meet the people at the heart of our work."
