How to make Harry Potter Butterbeer ice cream floats

From Digital Spy

The world of millions of Harry Potter fans was rocked in 2015 when Delish came out with homemade Butterbeer. Turns out that – surprise! – everyone loved the idea of recreating the wizard-worthy drink at home.

Now that it's summer - and, conveniently, the 20th anniversary of the day the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was released - Digital Spy's sister foodie site has indulged its Harry Potter love once more and adapted Butterbeer for hot weather.

With cream soda and butterscotch syrup, the Butterbeer base gets topped with a buttery whipped cream.

Now you can simply drink it like this if that's your jam, or make it a float by coating the glass in more butterscotch syrup and filling a glass (preferably one adorned with the Hogwarts crest, acquired at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter) with vanilla ice cream.

The full recipe is here. But it's the buttery whipped cream that makes it true Butterbeer – you'll feel all wizardy and shit.
