Don’t worry, the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child cast haven’t overdone the Polyjuice Potion - it’s just a cast change, beginning this Wednesday (May 24).

Portraits have been released offering a glimpse at the new actors in their roles ahead of their first performance this week. The show’s first cast performed for the final time on May 21 after almost a year performing in the show.

Jamie Glover takes over from Jamie Parker as Harry Potter, with Rakie Ayola taking over from Noma Dumezweni as Hermione and Thomas Aldridge taking over from Paul Thornley as Ron Weasley.

Theo Ancient plays Harry’s son, Albus, after the role was originated by Sam Clemmett, and Samuel Blenkin takes over from Anthony Boyle as Scorpius Malfoy.

The show, which won a recording breaking nine Olivier Awards last month, is set to open on Broadway next spring. Casting for that production is yet to be announced.
