Harry Potter fans flock to new Edinburgh store created by film graphic designers

A new Harry Potter inspired shop has opened its doors in Edinburgh - created by the real graphic designers of the movie.

House of MinaLima on Cockburn Street officially opened on November 18 offering fans the chance to explore the graphic works from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.

The fantasy store is owned by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima who's artwork was used in all of the movies.

They are the creators behind some of the iconic props and creations that are part of the Harry Potter universe including the Hogwarts acceptance letters and Marauder's map.

To celebrate the opening Miraphora and Eduardo offered meet and greet sessions for fans to get a photo with the pair and have their gifts signed.

Fans flocked to the new store on Saturday, November 23, and Sunday, November 24, to be the first in line for the experience.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, the genius designers said opening in Edinburgh feels like a "full-circle" moment.

Miraphora added: "We have been talking about this for a long time and it's so lovely when things go full circle. We do always believe and slightly joke when you talk about something enough it will actually happen.

"What a beautiful street to be on, it's suddenly happened like a gift for Christmas. We want to create an environment that feels like you're stepping into our heads because everything you find in MinaLima has been designed by our studio or originally by us for the films so it's unlike a typical shop."

A statement onMinaLima's Instagram reads: "Come explore our full treasury of graphic works, from the graphic art of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films to our Harry Potter illustrated Editions, from the MinaLima Classics books to the Phantom of The Opera prints, and many more surprises."
