Christmas is coming early this year for the most devoted of Harry Potter fans.

London's Warner Bros Studio Tour may just have managed to come up with the greatest Christmas event in the history of all things Harry Potter: a gigantic festive-themed dinner in the Great Hall and a real-life Yule Ball.

The dinner, which takes place each night from December 11 - 13, will give fans of the JK Rowling fantasy epic the opportunity to dine in the exact room the movies were filmed in for £240 a pop.

Yes, it might empty your Gringotts vault, but judging by the order of the events, it might just go down as one of the greatest Potter-themed events in wizarding history.

Kitted out with all the original props used during the Goblet of Fire's glamorous Yule Ball, Potterites will be serenaded by a live orchestra conducted by Professor Flitwick while they feast on canapés and prosecco on arrival before going on an after-hours tour of the set, and gobbling down a two-course Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.

The magical menu will include chicken liver parfait with apple, quince and toasted brioche followed by cranberry-stuffed Norfolk turkey with buttery potatoes and honey-roasted root vegetables.

Veggies haven't been left out either. A Wookey Hole cheddar soufflé and a roasted squash, barley and chestnut Wellington are also up for grabs.

For dessert, options include a traditional Christmas pud as well as a gingerbread blueberry trifle - plenty for wizards, witches and muggles alike to get excited about.

And if that's not enough, all of the above comes with glittering Christmas trees, red carpets, shiny icicles, falling snow (the fake, but beautiful kind) and plenty of Butterbeer.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on October 24 and last year they flew out faster than a Golden Snitch (despite the price), so make sure you hurry to secure a space.

Hogwarts in the Snow will run from Saturday November 18 – Sunday January 28. Tickets to Dinner in the Great Hall cost £240 per person and must be pre-booked before you visit
