Harry Potter Novels Finally Arrives on iBooks With New Interactive Animations

All seven of the Harry Potter books have been added to Apple’s iBooks for the first time and include interaction animations along with elaborate new artwork.

The ‘Enhanced Editions’ will feature new and exclusive book covers as well as annotations from author J.K. Rowling.

Until now, Harry Potter e-books have only been available to buy through the official Harry Potter-centric Pottermore website store.

Rowling commented: ““I’m thrilled to see the Harry Potter books so beautifully realised on iBooks for the digital world; the artwork and animations in these enhanced editions bring the stories alive in a delightful new way”.

“Harry Potter fans are going to love how their favourite stories come to life,” said Apple’s CEO Tim Cook.

The new e-books can be viewed on Apple’s iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

The Harry Potter Enhanced Editions cost £6.99 each and are available today in English in 32 countries. French, German and Spanish versions can also be pre-ordered today and will be available on 9 November.
