Harry Styles admits he didn't know what he was doing in Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk'

Last year, we were bursting with pride when it was confirmed that Harry Styles was using One Direction’s hiatus to break into the acting world, with the star landing a role in Christopher Nolan’s war epic ‘Dunkirk’.

Nolan himself admitted that he hired Harry because he simply “had it” and it was reported that the acclaimed director was so impressed with Harry’s efforts that he even gave him extra lines and screen time than initially planned.

As if becoming a movie star wasn’t enough, Harry followed up by releasing his debut solo single, ‘Sign Of The Times’, last week – with the star being widely praised for his unique and brilliant sound.

Now Harry has spoken out about his stint in Hollywood, revealing that he didn’t have a clue what he was doing when he first got behind the camera.

Speaking to Dermot O’Leary on BBC Radio 2’s Saturday Breakfast, Harry shared: “It was one of the best experiences of my life. Honestly it was amazing, it was a real challenge.

Harry admits he didn’t know what he was doing in the film.

“I mean, I really loved being the new guy. I loved kind of being so far out of my comfort zone. It felt really good to kind of have no idea what I was doing for a little bit.”

We’re sure that he picked it up in no time.

Harry also admitted that he was nervous about debuting his solo music sound to the world, with his new single being compared to the likes of icons David Bowie and Freddie Mercury.

Speaking to Nick Grimshaw about the record finally being out there, the star explained: “It’s a bit weird. I feel I’ve been hibernating in the studio. You hear it in the safety of the studio and it’s time to [give] birth.

“It’s been a brewing.”

And we have to admit, it was definitely worth the wait.
