Harry Styles Has Been Given 'Extra Lines' After Impressing Dunkirk Director Christopher Nolan

It sounds as though Harry Styles’ acting career is going from strength to strength, with the One Direction star impressing director Christopher Nolan so much that he has been given extra lines and more screen time in his Hollywood debut, Dunkirk.

We are so proud.

The 22-year-old’s return to the music scene may even end up being postponed because he is doing so well on the movie set for Nolan’s huge war epic, with crew and Harry’s castmates being left seriously impressed by his professionalism in his new field.

A source told The Mirror: “Chris already had great faith in Harry’s acting abilities and that’s why he gave him a role in the first place, but he’s surprised everyone with how natural a performer is. He really commits to the part.

"It just made sense to increase his screen time. He’s a natural in front of the camera and of course having one of the biggest pop stars in the world attached to the project is a huge plus. Originally Harry was given just a little dialogue but the kids a natural and Chris rewarded him with more.

”[Nolan] loves working with great talent, so don’t expect this to be the last time he collaborates with Harry. Look at Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy. They both get called and offered first refusals whenever he has new project with a role he thinks they can do.“

It sounds as though this could be the start of something huge for Harry, and we can’t say that he doesn’t deserve it.

The superstar has also impressed staff with how down-to-earth he is despite the fact he is one of the most famous people in the world, with one member of the crew adding to the paper: "I think everyone expected him to wander in, do his thing and disappear, but he’s been a real gent. He has time for everybody and knows the crew’s names by heart.

"There’s no entourage and no special treatment for him. Generally, none of us ask stars for autographs or pictures so he wouldn’t need extra security on set as we’re used to working with A-listers, but it’s still refreshing how easy he is to work with and he’s very chatty.”

Dunkirk also stars Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy and Mark Rylance and is due to be released next July.

Needless to say, we can’t bloomin’ wait.
