Yahoo News Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus head to Radio 1's Live Lounge
Before we know it, it'll be September. The unofficial end of summer, the start of a new academic year, the month we finally accept we failed to keep our New Year's resolutions.
But better than any of those things is the fact that it's Radio 1's 50th birthday month! And to celebrate, the station is hosting some very special Live Lounges.
Yep, Radio 1 will be welcoming the likes of Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, JAY-Z, Stormzy, Lorde and Foo Fighters to perform – and hopefully have cake with.
Announcing the news yesterday (July 26), Radio 1's Clara Amfo told listeners that there will be daily performances throughout September, kicking off with Foo Fighters.

Clara will host each live performance on her weekday show, but true to form, Friday will be the big one for stars and fans alike.
Not only will there be extended Live Lounge sets every Friday, there'll even be a live evening gig on the final Friday, too. (Which Radio 1 listeners can tune in to, obvs.)
