Harry Styles to make his solo TV debut on Saturday Night Live

In case you missed it, on Saturday Harry Styles sent everybody wild with his first Instagram activity in months, once again posting three blank squares to his Instagram account before a teaser advert for his upcoming solo music aired during The Voice UK semi-final on ITV.

Last night, Harry continued to tease us by changing his Twitter profile to his new promotional pics and also sharing a link to his brand new website. On top of that, it was confirmed that the One Direction star will be making his solo television debut on Saturday Night Live next month.

The 23-year-old star will appear alongside Jimmy Fallon, who was the one to break the news on his Twitter account.

Jimmy wrote: “So excited!!! A young heartthrob and Harry Styles will be on SNL together April 15th! #WhenHarryMetJimmy #FallonStylesSNL [sic]”

Of course SNL quickly followed suit and tweeted their excitement at Harry joining the show but Harry has maintained his typical silence.

Harry’s debut solo single is set to drop next Friday, 7th April, but there is no word on what his new sound will be like – with his best friend Nick Grimshaw previously revealing that Harry was “nervous” about whether or not he’d like it.

The BBC Radio 1 DJ explained to GQ magazine: “He’s [Harry] worried I won’t like his new solo record.

“He recorded it in Jamaica so I’m praying it’s some awful white man reggae.”

Harry is the fourth original member of One Direction to launch his solo career, with Zayn Malik sensationally quitting the group in 2015 in favour of a solo R&B career.

Meanwhile, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson released their debut solo singles last year, both having huge chart success.

Liam Payne is also thought to be releasing solo material at some point this year, but considering he and Cheryl have just welcomed a baby son he might be putting that on the backburner for the foreseeable.
