Harry's Toy Chest in Truro launches biggest Christmas giveaway ever
A much loved independent second hand toy store is preparing for its biggest festive giveaway ever. Harry's Toy Chest in Truro organised its first Christmas giveaway last year to celebrate its fourth anniversary on the high street.
The announcement had some die hard fans camp out in the cold for hours, with some even turning up at 5.15am, to be sure to be first in line when the shop opened. At the time, Harry Stacey, owner of Harry's Toy Chest in the city's Victoria Square, said the support his little Lego-specialist shop received had been phenomenal as hundreds of people queued up around the block for a chance to win a massive Lego Star Wars model.
Then, just when kids were returning to school, Harry was visited by Harry Potter and Star Wars actor Warwick Davis and the pair hit it off. So much so that Warwick offered to return to Harry's Toy Chest a few weeks later for an autograph signing event in aid of men's mental health charity Man Down.

The event was again so popular that people queued throughout the day and around the block for more than five hours for a chance to take a selfie with the Hollywood star and have some memorabilia signed.

Now Harry has decided to go one up and organise something even bigger for his fifth year in Victoria Square. Not wanting to leave fans of his shop freezing to death in the cold outside, Harry said he will provide tea, coffee and hot chocolate to anyone in the queue from 6am.
The creative entrepreneur, whose shop specialises in Lego figures, Star Wars toys and Pokémon cards, said he will also experience for himself what it is like to queue for hours when he joins his fans in the early hours of the morning.
He told CornwallLive: "After the success of last year's anniversary and recently with the Warwick Davis event, I have chosen to go bigger and better this year and double the stakes, being the fifth anniversary in Victoria Square.
"The shop has grown bigger than I'd ever hoped due to these events and I am immensely grateful for everyone that has helped along the journey. It means so much to me seeing all of our die hard fans waiting outside. This year they could even be there overnight."
He added: "I am providing free coffee, tea and hot chocolate to everyone in the queue courtesy of Coffee 108 again from 6am, and this year I will even be joining some of the customers from the early hours of the morning. I guess I'd better get my tent ready."
Not only will those who are first in the queue get some pretty cool prizes, but Harry said that every penny spent in his store on the day will go to Children's Hospice South West at Little Harbour in Porthpean, St Austell, along with some presents too.
He added: "This means the entire day is for giving, and as long as we can help others, our goal will be fulfilled. In addition to this, I'm hoping my contribution will help Truro as a city, as well as local businesses too."
Here's what Harry has in store for his customers, Lego enthusiasts and super fans on the day:
The first five people/families in the queue will receive £200 vouchers
The next five people in the queue will receive £100 vouchers
The next five in the queue will receive £50 vouchers
The next five people will receive £25 vouchers
The next 30 in the queue will receive £10 vouchers. That's over £2,000 in free vouchers to use on anything in store.
Nearly £2,000 in free Lego raffle giveaways, including the Lego ultimate collectors series Millenium Falcon (the same as last year's giveaway), as well as the AT-AT and the Venator class ship. Anyone in the queue can win these.
Free Lego pick n mix all day
Harry's special giveaway will take place on Saturday, December 7, with doors opening at 11am.
