Harvey Weinstein's brother Bob is now facing sexual harassment allegations of his own from a writer on one of his TV projects.

Harvey is currently under police investigation in both the US and the UK, and has been accused of sexual misconduct by Lysette Anthony, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Rose McGowan, Cara Delevingne, Ashley Judd and other women over the last two weeks.

Now it's his brother and former business partner Bob who is facing accusations of sexual harassment from Amanda Segel, a writer-producer on the now-cancelled Weinstein Company TV series The Mist.

Segel claimed in a Variety interview that she was harassed by Bob Weinstein for a three-month period in 2016, before her lawyer threatened that Segel would quit The Mist unless the overtures stopped.

The writer-producer alleges that at a business dinner with Weinstein last year, he asked about her age because he said he didn't want to date anyone older than his daughter, and later invited her back to his hotel room.

Segel says she declined his invitation, but that his overtures continued despite the writer insisting that she was only interested in a professional relationship. After informing the production company of the situation, Segel allegedly struck a deal to continue work on The Mist so long as she never had further contact with Bob Weinstein.

"'No' should be enough," Segel said. "After 'no', anybody who has asked you out should just move on. Bob kept referring to me that he wanted to have a friendship.

"He didn't want a friendship. He wanted more than that. My hope is that 'no' is enough from now on."

In response to these allegations, a spokesperson for the producer said: "Bob Weinstein had dinner with Ms. Segel in LA in June 2016. He denies any claims that he behaved inappropriately at or after the dinner. It is most unfortunate that any such claim has been made."

The Missing's former network Spike also announced today (October 17): "We take all allegations of this nature very seriously, and are investigating."

Bob Weinstein has been critical of his brother Harvey in the wake of his own scandal, telling Rolling Stone over the weekend that he felt Harvey had "no remorse whatsoever" for his alleged misconduct.

The Weinstein Company fired Harvey last week, with the mogul subsequently resigning from its board of directors as well.
