The Ashley Madison hack has made headlines around the world - and may have already been behind several suicides and divorces.

Now one security expert believes he may have tracked down the hacker behind it - or at least someone who is aware who did it.

Former Washington Post reporter Brian Krebs says that a Twitter account which has been discussing the hack seems to have insider information - and a telltale obsession with AC/DC.

Krebs claims that the Twitter account, @deuszu, had access to ‘source code’ which he had been sent confidentially by the ‘Impact Team’ group which claimed responsibility for the hack.

The account, which has Tweeted about hacking-related topics for several years, also recently shared a screenshot showing ‘Thunderstruck’ by AC/DC playing in the background.

Shortly afterwards, Krebs claims, the hackers made every computer at Ashley Madison’s headquarters play the very same song.

The person behind the acccount strongly denies Krebs' allegations, saying, 'Bring all that evidence and proof and we can have a public dialogue.'

Krebs said, ‘Zu’s real-life identity remains murky at best. The lone exception I found was an image that appears to be a genuine group photo taken of a Facebook user tagged as Thadeus Zu, along with an unnamed man posing in front of a tattoo store.’

Krebs cautions against jumping to conclusions, however, and suggests that the account may well belong to a ‘white hat’ security researcher with interest in the case.
