'I hated my eyebrows so spent £10,000 fixing them – it was worth every penny'
Léa Mary travelled 4,000 miles and splashed out a whopping £10,000 to go under the knife.
The 26-year-old influencer, who has amassed a whopping two million followers online, was unhappy with her thinning her and 'sparse' eyebrows. She says her confidence was dwindling, especially with her online fame, so decided to fly from Miami to the UK to do something about it.
Léa, who is originally from France, had hair plugs and an eyebrow transplant last year, carried out by Dr Ducu in London - avoiding dodgy clinics in Turkey, infamous for their cheap cosmetic offerings.
The clinic lists prices for hair plugs between £3,000-£4,500 while a brow transplant can cost up to £5,500 - meaning Léa would have forked ot around £10,000 for the surgeries.
"I did this treatment because I didn't like my forehead when I was doing a ponytail," she said. "I felt like there was too much space. I chose to have an eyebrow transplant so that I could have them thicker."
Léa only experienced a bit of pain on the night of her operation - but all swelling and bruising had gone away within 10 days. Dr Ducu, who has been specialising in hair restoration for decades, said: "We focused on enhancing her natural beauty by restoring the hairline affected by thinning and giving her eyebrows a fuller, more defined shape... The results are subtle yet transformative, aligning perfectly with her aesthetic goals."
Almost a year after going under the knife, Léa is still thrilled with the results and thinks it was worth every penny. "It has completely changed my life," she explained.
"I can do whatever I want as a hairstyle. I love the way it looks and I love my eyebrows. They look amazing - I really recommend this procedure to all women."
