Haunting last moments before man murdered by 'Britain's youngest knife killers'

Haunting footage has captured the final moments before a man was stabbed to death by 'Britain's youngest knife killers'. Shawn Seesahai had been 'chilling' with a friend at a Wolverhampton park when there was an unexpected 'face-off' with two 12-year-olds.

He quickly warned his friend to 'run' after spotting the pair with a 'deadly machete' but was unable to escape the violent children himself. The boys slashed his legs with the 42.5cm blade and plunged it through his heart after 'roaming the streets' with it hours earlier.

Disturbing footage captured Mr Seesahai’s movements before the terrifying killing. He can be seen walking to his death, unsuspecting strolling into the park where he was savagely attacked.

Mr Seesahai - from the British Overseas Territory of Anguilla, in the Caribbean - did not know his killers. Their convictions for murdering the 19-year-old now make them two of the youngest killers in British legal history.

Footage released by West Midlands Police captured Mr Seesahai as he and two friends - Deron Harrigan and Jamal Clarke - boarded a tram from Winson Green just before 5.45pm on November 13 last year.

They are seen to later get off the train at the Priestfield stop, in Wolverhampton. The trio then split, with Mr Clarke leaving to meet his girlfriend.

Mr Seesahai and Mr Harrigan are seen on CCTV walking to an Esso petrol station, where they bought Red Bull at about 6.45pm. The pair are then recorded heading towards Stowlawn playing fields - where the boys launched into their violent machete attack.

The children - who are now both 13 and cannot be named due to legal reasons - denied murder and stood trial. They were unanimously convicted by jurors at Nottingham Crown Court in June.

One of the boys admitted having an article with a blade or a point ahead of the trial. The second boy denied the same charge but was convicted by jurors.

They were detained for life, with minimum terms of eight years and six months each on Friday, September 27. A trial heard how Mr Seesahai and Mr Harrigan sat on a bench once they arrived in the park before moving towards a basketball court.

The friends were walking back to the bench when they came across a group of three nearby - the two killers and a schoolgirl. One of the boys 'shoulder barged' Mr Seesahai, who responded with "what the f***".

That boy then pulled the machete from his trousers 'ready to use it' as Mr Seesahai told his friend to 'run'. The pair made their desperate getaway as the killers chased behind them but Mr Seesahai tripped and was unable to escape.

The vicious attack on the unarmed victim took place 'within seconds' of reaching the bench. He was struck with the machete to his back, legs and skull - even though had 'offered no violence and 'done nothing to offend the two boys'.

The blade was plunged so deep into his back in went through his heart and almost came out his chest. Giving evidence during the trial, Mr Harrigan said: "It was a big blade, something similar to a machete.

"He pulled it out of the sheath from his waist. Shawn told me to run." When asked if he saw what happened next, he said: "No, I was running for my life, I could not stay there to watch.

"When Shawn tripped, someone did him. I don't know which did him though." Mr Harrigan turned his head back as he ran, spotting the victim on the floor 'surrounded' by the two boys.

He quickly raised the alarm with friends who called 999. The schoolboys had arrived at the park at 8.15pm - by 8.25pm they had fled.

Officers dispatched to the scene desperately carried out CPR but Mr Seesahai was 'already dead'. Nottingham Crown Court heard how Mr Seesahai was living in Handsworth at the time after coming to the UK for cataract surgery.

Mr Harrigan had travelled to the UK from Anguilla to visit his friend, staying with him in Birmingham the night before he died. He recalled how he had been discussing upcoming Christmas plans with his friend before his death.

The killers and their young female friend were in the park smoking a cigarette or vaping before the murder, he claimed. Jurors also heard how Mr Seesahai spoke to both his mother and younger sister in the hours before his death.

He has told his sister he 'loved her' in what would be their last conversation.
