Yahoo News Hawaii Five-0 casts Joan Collins in huge role
Hawaii Five-0 is about to get a lot more regal, as none other than Dame Joan Collins has landed a role in an upcoming episode of the show's ninth season.
The news was shared on Twitter by Joan herself, who wrote: "Loved doing Hawaii 5-0 with a wonderful cast and crew! @HawaiiFive0CBS #HawaiiFive0," while sharing a pic alongside stars Alex O'Loughlin (Steve McGarrett) and Scott Caan (Danny Williams).
TV Line confirmed that Joan will appear in the 18th episode of season 9, playing Amanda Savage, the mother of Danny's former wife Rachel (Claire van der Boom) who has never liked him.

Amanda will arrive in town on a book tour where she will need Danny and Steve’s assistance as her last-minute security team.
And while she has no time for her former son-in-law, she will take an immediate liking to Steve.
The role follows on from Joan's appearance in American Horror Story: Apocalypse last year and on E!'s The Royals, where she plays the mother of Elizabeth Hurley's character Queen Helena.
In June 2017, Hawaii Five-0 lost stars Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim after they failed to secure pay equality with their white, male co-stars Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan. Earlier this month, it was announced that Kim is returning to TV in The Good Doctor.
Hawaii Five-0 airs on CBS in the US and on Sky One in the UK.
