Hayden Panettiere Returns To Work Following Battle With Postpartum Depression

It has been reported that actress Hayden Panettiere has returned to work following treatment for postpartum depression.

The 26-year-old star sought medical help ten months after the birth of her and her fiancé Wladamir Klitschko’s daughter Kayla, taking a leave of absence from her TV show ‘Nashville’.

Hayden plays country singer Juliette Barnes on the show and TVLine now report that she is back on set to begin filming episode 14 of season 4 of the drama series, with the ep expected to air in April.

Hayden was praised for her honesty when it was revealed that she was seeking treatment last year, with many mothers thanking the actress for shedding light on a typically overlooked illness.

Her spokesperson said at the time: “Hayden is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment centre as she is currently battling postpartum depression. She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time.”

'Nashville’’s executive producer, Dee Johnson, also insisted that she expected Hayden to be back, explaining: “It’s not the entire season, it’s just for now.

"We’ve had to make adjustments, but it’s not uncommon for shows to have to make such accommodations when real life intervenes.”

Needless to say, we couldn’t be happier to hear that Hayden is doing better and that she will be back on our screens so soon.
