Hayes murder: Man arrested after police find woman's body inside house

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found inside a house in Hayes.

The 26-year-old male is believed to be known to the woman who was in her 30s, according to police.

Officers were called to a residential property in Whittington Avenue, Hayes just after 9.30am on September 24 following concerns for the welfare of a missing woman.

Officers found the woman's body inside the property.

The 26-year-old male was arrested at a west London hospital later on 24 September.

He currently remains in hospital and is not in a life-threatening condition.

The woman’s next of kin have been informed.

The incident comes after the number of homicides in London so far this year reached 100 earlier this month.
