Biden will speak at the event, where he’s set to be introduced by health care entrepreneur Glen Tullman, one of the hosts, the people said. Tullman is the chief executive officer of Transcarent, Inc., a digital health company.
Bob Toohey, Allstate’s chief human resource officer, Progyny President Michael Sturmer, Praveen Thadani, president of Priority Health, and Tom Grote, CEO of Banner|Aetna, a regional joint venture, are also among the invited guests, according to the people.
Biden’s campaign spokespeople declined to comment on the event’s attendees, and spokespeople for the companies didn’t respond to requests to comment.
Biden has been ramping up his fundraising efforts a year out from the 2024 election amid concerns about his age and his handling of the economy.
He raised $71 million in the third quarter, nearly matching his fundraising haul in the previous three months and putting him well ahead of his Republican competitors, including former President Donald Trump.

While the president remains popular among Democratic donors, that enthusiasm isn’t matched by the broader public. Just 38.3% of voters approve of his handling of the economy, while 59.3% disapprove, according to the RealClearPolitics average of national polls. Biden’s overall approval rating is 41%.
