Healthy baked oats recipe tastes just like banana bread but without sugar
Baked oats are a delicious breakfast option that is perfect for those looking to be healthier and eat less sugar.
Made from oats and baked in the oven - rather than cooked on the hob like porridge - the texture of baked oats is often compared to that of a soft, moist cake - and it can be served warm or cold. Baked oats can be customised with various toppings or mix-ins, such as fruits, nuts, seeds, chocolate chips, or peanut butter, and one doctor and nutritionist has shared her take on the breakfast treat.
Dr Hazel Wallace, known as The Food Medic on social media, shared the ingredients for baked oats that taste just like banana bread. "If you only make one of my recipes… Let it be this. Banana bread baked oats," she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post sharing the recipe.
