Heartbreaking CCTV Video Shows Men Dumping Dog Over Animal Rescue Centre's Fence

Heartbreaking CCTV footage shows the moment two men dumped a dog by throwing it over an animal rescue centre’s fence.

Shocking surveillance video shows the duo pulling up outside the Os palleiros premises in Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain, last Thursday night.

They struggle to lift the poor pooch over the 10-foot high barrier for more than a minute.

Eventually, they manage to lower the dog - who still has its collar and lead attached - down to the ground on the other side. They then heartlessly drive off.

Bosses at the Os palleiros animal protection centre filed a complaint with the Civil Guard police service this week.

And group volunteer Elisabeth Suárez said that throwing dogs over its fence had become somewhat of a “summer sport.”

“Two weeks ago they (other owners) abandoned two dogs with us by throwing them over the fence,” she told El Pais.

“Twenty days ago there was another. They’ve always left us dogs tied up, which is cruel, but this is awful. Throwing dogs over the fence is becoming all the rage this summer,” she added.

Police are now hunting for the duo that dumped the animal.

A Facebook post by the group has been seen more than 3.1 million times.

“We have to find these people and end this,” a statement on its page said.

“The little dog is precious. He is a small male dog, who now is very scared, asking why this has happened to him. He doesn’t have a clue where he is. Now we will all protect him,” it added.

The dog is said to be making a full physical recovery.
