Heavy Downpour in Alabama During Tornado-Warned Storm

A tornado watch remained in effect until 6 am on January 26 for several counties in Alabama as a tornado touched down near Fultondale around midnight.

Thunderstorms with damaging winds up to 60 mph were forecast to hit the area.

There were multiple reports of damage to buildings in Fultondale, with Mayor Larry Holcomb telling ABC 33/40 that at least 20 people suffered minor injuries.
