Heavy Flooding Washes Out Part of Trans-Canada Highway in Newfoundland

Severe flooding ripped out part of the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) in Newfoundland on April 13, rendering it temporarily impassable before traffic later resumed.

Local media reported that a section of the highway near Springdale caved early Tuesday morning, after two transport trucks drove across it.

Footage by Andre Arani shows the damage to the highway.

“At least two trucks had overturned along the road. Crews on the scene. Non-stop rain over last few days has caused flooding in the province,” Arani told Storyful. Credit: @earthspace101 via Storyful
