Heavy Rain Fills Dry Creek Beds in Mexico as Storms Approach

Heavy rain, wind, and lightning were forecast to hit parts of Mexico on Tuesday, August 13, according to officials.

Proteccion Civil Sonora released footage on Tuesday showing water flowing in a wash in Santa Ana, in the state of Sonora. Officials said the flow was due to runoff from rain in higher areas.

They warned residents not to cross rivers, streams, or puddles during the rainy season. Credit: Proteccion Civil Sonora via Storyful
