Heavy Rain Floods Tennessee

Heavy rain led to flooding of “moderate severity” in Tennessee and Virginia on February 5 and 6, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Kody Willard uploaded this video of the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River flooding a parking lot in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

In nearby Knox County, first responders said they were “inundated with water rescue calls,” and urged residents not to drive through flooded areas.

Knox County Schools remained open on February 6, despite some reports of buildings flooding.
