Heavy Rain Triggers Flash Flooding on New York City's FDR Drive

Downpours caused flash flooding on several major New York City thoroughfares on Thursday afternoon, July 8.

Footage shared by Julie Esposito shows vehicles inching through floodwaters on the Franklin D. Roosevelt East River Drive. Esposito also captured video of the heavy rain’s impact on Francis Lewis Boulevard in Queens and near the George Washington Bridge.
