Heavy snow fell in southern Wisconsin on Friday, December 9, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of potential snowfall rates of an inch per hour.

The snow was likely to continue into Friday afternoon, the NWS said. Drivers were told to be cautious on the roads.

This footage from Madison resident Christopher J Lee shows a heavy coating of snow and a plow driving by. Lee said he shot the video around 11 am Friday.

Forecasts suggested Madison could see between 2 and 5 inches of snow. Lee said he measured approximately four inches at the time of this video. Credit: @leemarkcom via Storyful
