Heavy Snow Makes Road Travel Difficult in Eastern Washington

Overnight snow in eastern Washington made travel difficult on Wednesday morning, November 30, as the National Weather Service (NWS) urged drivers to allow for extra time on the roads.

Footage on Twitter from the state’s Department of Transportation shows road conditions on Wednesday morning around Spokane. The department said a vehicle hit one of its plows after the car lost control, but the plow was undamaged and the crash caused no injuries.

Gusty winds and blowing snow were expected to continue through Wednesday, with accumulation forecasts as high as 12 inches in parts, the NWS said. Credit: WSDOT East via Storyful
