Heavy Snow Obscures Vancouver Views
Heavy snow descended on Vancouver, British Columbia, on Tuesday, February 28, as a series of winter storms pummeled North America’s west coast.
The City of Vancouver warned against any “non-essential” travel.
Local news reports said the northbound lanes of Lions Gate Bridge, which connects downtown Vancouver to North and West Vancouver over the Burrard Inlet, were closed due to weather-related traffic incidents.
Vancouver International Airport said that while their taxiways and aprons were operational, around 50 flights were canceled due to “extremely low visibility.”
