Heavy Snow Shuts Down Highways in California's Placer County

A winter storm prompted the closure of roads throughout mountainous areas of Northern California on Monday, December 27.

Video from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office shows conditions on I-80 near Applegate on Monday. The sheriff’s office asked “anyone and everyone to please stay home.”
