Heavy Snow Shuts Down Roads in Utah's Cottonwood Canyon

Authorities closed roads in northern Utah on Tuesday, October 12, as more than 11 inches of snow accumulated in some parts of the state, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) provided a look at roads in Cottonwood Canyon on Tuesday.

Guardsman Pass Road, which connects Park City and Brighton, was closed on Tuesday “until further notice” due to the snow, UDOT said. The NWS reported that 3.3 inches of snow had fallen in Park City, with Logan seeing 11.5 inches of snow.
