Helen Flanagan was in tears on Celebs Go Dating as she opened up about her apparent "throuple" with David Haye, admitting it had left her feeling guilty and upset.

The former Coronation Street star was rumoured to be in a throuple with her I'm A Celebrity co-star, boxer David Haye, and his partner Sian Osborne but said that it wasn't the whole truth of the situation.

She also cried over a heartbreaking conversation with her ex Scott Sinclair, with whom she shares three children.

Helen Flanagan has been left feeling a little overwhelmed by Celebs Go Dating after spending 13 years with her ex Scott Sinclair, the father of her three children, and in Monday's episode, she broke down in tears as she told all about her only relationship since the split.

Former Corrie star Flanagan and footballer Sinclair split in 2022 and last year, she was rumoured to be in a throuple with David Haye and his partner Sian Osborne. Haye had previously been dating Saturdays star Una Healy, who has denied she was ever in a throuple with him and Osborne.

Now, Flanagan has also said she was never part of a throuple, but admitted she was in love with Haye who she had first met on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2012.

Talking to the Celebs Go Dating experts about her dating history, she said: "Scott and I broke up and I just had zero interest in men at all and I think it got to about nine months and I was thinking, wow, I'm actually really lonely now. I really missed a man's touch.

"I ended up in a situationship with a guy called David. I'd known him for about 10 years, we actually did a reality show together. I remember the first time I saw him, I was just like 'wow, who's that?'"

Flanagan continued on the relationship with Haye: "It was quite something, it's really hard for me to talk about sometimes. He had a girlfriend and he had an open relationship. I didn't mean to fall in love with him, but I did. We did have this amazing connection, we were like fire together. I think he does love his girlfriend and I think he loved me as well. It brings me to a part of my life that was quite dark."

As the experts asked about reports that she had been in a throuple, Flanagan insisted: "No. Each to their own, but I was in love with the man. I wouldn't have enjoyed watching the man that I was in love with have sex with another woman, that's not for me."

She then broke down in tears as she admitted: "I felt very, very, very guilty. I didn't feel nice about it at all, it made me feel really bad. It really upsets me because I'm a nice girl, I don't mean to hurt people...I was really lonely and I found it really difficult."

But although she confirmed Haye's partner had known about her and been alright with her dating Haye, a tearful Flanagan said: "I feel that's not nice on another girl and I should have known better."

It was an emotional episode for the TV star, as she made a heartbreaking admission about a conversation with Sinclair earlier this year.

She cried as she told the experts: "I'm really angry with Scott. I know he's angry with me but I do love him and I know he loves me. I think we're both really f***ing hurt."

Flanagan added: "I asked him in January if he'd get back together with me and he said no. He said that he'd always love me, but no."

Celebs Go Dating airs on E4 at 9pm Monday to Thursday.
