Helicopter involved in multi-agency search for 'high risk' man on Anglesey
A multi-agency search for a “high risk” individual was launched on north Anglesey in the early hours of this morning (Monday, February 3). Holyhead Coastguard was asked by the police to scramble a helicopter and the crew were joined by a local search and rescue (SAR) team.
Môn-SAR said it was tasked with searching for a “vulnerable male” in the Amlwch area. The team was alerted by North Wales Police (NWP) at 2am this morning.
Meanwhile, the Coastguard’s R936 Sikorsky helicopter left Caernarfon at around 2.25am. It circled Porth Llechog (Bull Bay) before appearing to alight in a field near the A525 close to the small village of Burwen.
