Helicopters Draw From Local Reservoir to Fight Flames in Carpinteria

Helicopters drew water from a local reservoir to fight the Thomas Fire, which was threatening homes in Carpinteria, California, on December 10.

Authorities issued new evacuation orders for towns along the border between California’s Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, including Carpinteria, according to reports, on Sunday, December 10, as the Thomas wildfire expanded.
