Helicopters Help Out During Brush Fire in North Los Angeles

Firehawk helicopters assisted the LA County Fire Department as they tackled a brush fire that reached 20 acres in north Los Angeles on August 11.

Local media reported that some lanes on the 118 freeway were closed, while more than 100 firefighters from Ventura and Los Angeles counties were at the scene, in the San Fernando Valley.

The Los Angeles Daily News said firefighters gained control of the fire after 5 pm on August 11.
