Helicopters Pull Water from Big Bear Lake to Battle Holcomb Fire

Emergency services continued to fight a wildfire in the Big Bear Valley of the San Bernardino Mountains, California, on June 21.

Named the Holcomb Fire, the blaze began on June 19 during a heat wave. By June 21, the fire covered 1,200 acres. There have been no evacuation orders, but hot and dry conditions in the area pose a challenge for firefighters.
