Helicopters used to rescue boat crew stranded out at sea due to Typhoon Kompasu in southern China

Two helicopters were used to rescue the crew of two boats that were stranded out at sea due to typhoon Kompasu in southern China. Video filmed in the city of Putian in Fujian Province on October 11 shows a helicopter approaching a boat stranded in the middle of a sea. The rescuers landed on the boat and tied safety ropes to the crew before lifting them up onto the helicopter. According to reports, 58 crew members from the two boats were all saved. The video was provided by local media with permission.
