Hello, Ladies: Bull Moose Spar to Attract Females During Mating Season in Alaska

Two bull moose tried to woo the ladies during mating season in Alaska’s Denali National Park, sparring head-to-head in an effort to attract female attention.

Moose mating season, also known as the rut, begins in late August and ends in early October, according to the National Park Service. Sparring is the precursor to violent fighting, which can last hours before breeding rights are determined.
