Thunderstruck fans are preparing themselves for official news of an AC/DC comeback after images seemingly taken from a new video shoot were apparently posted on the band’s official website, before being swiftly removed.

The photos, which were obtained by a Brazilian fan site, appear to show band members past and present performing together — fuelling the idea that a new album could be on the cards.

Angus Young, the band’s long-time lead guitarist, is pictured in his customary school uniform alongside his nephew Stevie. In the background is drummer Phil Rudd, who had to abandon the group’s tour after being arrested in 2014, as well as singer Brian Johnson, who took a break from the band after suffering hearing loss and was briefly replaced by Guns N' Roses man Axl Rose.

Bassist Cliff Williams, who had previously announced plans to retire from AC/DC, is also pictured. All dressed in dark outfits, it looks like the band might finally be back in black.

Since the death of rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young in 2017, many have suggested that a new album would be produced using recordings made before his passing.

AC/DC are yet to make an official comment on the rumours but with more than 200 million records sold worldwide, there's sure to be an appetite for their return – let there be rock!
