Henry Cavill gushes over 'travelling bear' companion who he named after Superman role

Here at Yahoo Celeb UK we love coming across a cute animal story and we think that witnessing the friendship between a human and their dog flourish has to be one of the sweetest tales you’ll ever read.

So naturally, when we saw our favourite welsh Hollywood hunk gushing about his adorable pet pooch, Kal, we couldn’t resist sharing this story with you.

Henry rose to fame playing Clark Kent aka Superman… aka Kal… in 2013’s blockbuster ‘Man of Steel’ and was recently called upon to promote the forthcoming ‘Justice League’ movie in which he reprises the role.

Of course, all the jet setting might seem glamorous to you and me but Henry admitted it can be exhausting and can take its tole on your mind. Thankfully, he had his “travelling bear” to keep him company and to help him stay sane.

Henry, 33, credited Kal for making what seemed like “an impossible task, less of a mission” and for being his “constant companion” when he left CinemaCon in Las Vegas to head off to his next job.

Yup, life on the road can be isolating!

It seems Henry would rather not be a lone wolf

The hunky star also shared some incredibly cute pictures of Kal – aptly named after his biggest role.

You’ll hardly recognise Henry in this one, with his perfectly trimmed beard and curly locks!

Henry’s his Instagram followers couldn’t stop themselves gushing over Kal too.
