A JCB driver has been up before the magistrates after carrying a dangerous load on a busy road in Herefordshire.
Alistair Kirk entered a guilty plea to one count of causing a danger of injury due to the weight, position, distribution, or security of a load while using a vehicle on a road to magistrates in Worcester.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 23-year-old had been caught using a JCB with a dangerous load on Tenbury Road, Bromyard, on September 8.
Kirk, who is of The Birches in Stourport-on-Severn, had been carrying two metal gates and a wooden pallet, which appeared much wider than the vehicle itself, on the JCB's front forks, the court was told.
The load was secured to the JCB with a thin piece of rope, and posed a danger of injury, magistrates heard.
The case was adjourned until February to consider disqualification from driving, and will be resumed at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 10.
