Everyone knows that nothing is off limits (except for concrete details on the season seven finale) when it comes to The Walking Dead open Q&A sessions, and we got a real humdinger at ParleyFest.

One fan – who we promise wasn't us in disguise – asked Andrew Lincoln how he would like his final scene as Rick to go, and while executive producer Greg Nicotero joked that he shouldn't spill the beans, Lincoln went right ahead (via ComicBook).

"I'm gonna say this now, this is how I want Rick to die," he began.

Spoilers won't follow, because this is just Andrew Lincoln's hypothetical scenario. Unless it does actually happen this way...

"So, we're going through a desert somewhere and I jump off the bus. In a very heroic act, Rick jumps off, 'Caaaarl's still alive!' Maybe it's the last thing I say.

"I jump off and I'm like kung-fu kicking, earn my action figure, half way through I get bit... Ow! Doesn't matter, keep going!"

"Anyway, I deal with that," he continued, "and I'm dying on my own. Just waiting to die. I wait and I patch up and a day passes."

"I patch myself up, I don't die... The final shot is, 'Holy s**t! Maybe I'm the cure!'

"High shot, the whole thing... High shot, herd of zombies coming: Rick gets up, follows the tracks to go see 'Caaarrrll,' walking, the herd comes towards him, and they separate. He walks through. Boom!"

However, before we get to this moment that may or may not happen, we've got the season seven finale to get through first, and it's said to be "gigantic" and "amazing".

If you need to get up to speed on everything you need to know, we've got you covered.

The Walking Dead airs on AMC in the US and on FOX in the UK.
