Easter has finally arrived, and we are more than ready to celebrate. There is a lot of preparation involved in the lead-up to April 9, and it's understandable if you overlook some detail or ingredient. If that's the case, you'll need to find out what stores are open on Easter. If you're preparing Easter brunch or putting the finishing touches on an Easter basket and realize you're without a key ingredient, these are the grocery stores, drug stores, and even hardware stores you can visit. On holidays, we always recommend checking with your nearest location to make sure their hours have not changed before you head out the door.

The Home Depot
If you need to make a last-minute home repair, you're in luck: All locations are open with abbreviated hours.
Walmart
The superstore will be open for Easter this year. Check with your local store for hours of operation.
Kroger
Check with your local store. Most are opening from 7 a.m. to 9 or 10 p.m. on Easter.
ShopRite
Contact your local store. Some locations are closed this Easter.
Whole Foods
All stores will be open this year, but hours vary by location. Check their online store locator to confirm.
Safeway
Stores are open this year. Times vary based on location.
PetSmart

You should be able to pop by your local CVS on Easter, but you might want to double check on pharmacy hours before you go.
Rite Aid
As with CVS, you can stop by Rite Aid for picking up any last minute Easter candies or cards, but calling up about pharmacy hours at your local store might be your best bet.
Walgreens/Duane Reade
The pharmacy chain stays open year-round, but it's advisable to make sure your local store's pharmacy is open if picking up prescriptions. Most 24-hour locations are opening 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Easter.
