HGV driver spotted ‘making brew at the wheel’ while on the M6

Police have stopped and reported a HGV driver after spotting them driving carelessly on the M6.

Lancs Road Police said one of their cars was “almost wiped out” on the M6 in Forton when the driver changed lanes without indicating.

Police also said they saw the motorist making a hot drink while driving, with no hands on the wheel.

The driver has been reported for due care offences.

Lancs Road Police said: “This HGV travelling south on M6 Forton almost wiped out #HZ50 when it swerved from lane one to lane two without warning.

“The driver was seen making a brew with no hands on the wheel. The driver has been reported for due care offences.”
