A robot shown off on Russian TV stunned an audience of schoolchildren with abilities including dancing, walking, talking and solving maths problems.

‘Boris’, shown off on Russia’s PROJECT show, was described as ‘the most modern robot’ – and actually engaged in real-time conversation with the hosts.

But after the show aired, bloggers became suspicious about the advanced droid – and discovered he was in fact a man in a suit.

Bloggers became suspicious of the fact that the robot could answer complex questions in real time – something that’s beyond most real robots.

They found that ‘Boris’ is in fact a robot suit costing 200,000 rubles or £2,380, made by a company called Show Robots.

The state TV company has since claimed that it never suggested Boris was a real robot.

But during the broadcast, the anchor claimed that ‘at the forum they have the opportunity to look at the most modern robots.’
