Tucked away on a quaint street in Weybridge is a dog-friendly, boujee cafe described as a perfect sun trap and “gem” by customers who have left the business glowing reviews. Weybridge is truly spoilt for choice when it comes to great places to dine.

However each place has something unique to offer, and Cafe Verditer is no exception. Living up to its namesake, the inside of the minimalistic cafe and the panelled walls are splashed with an earthy blue paint.

Large glowing bulbs hang from the ceiling and glass doors open up onto the street with tables under cover outside where you can sit and watch the world go by. The team got the decor just right, and the menu reflects the luxurious ambiance.

Gourmet scrambled eggs, smashed avocado and pancake stacks are just some of the highlights customers boasted about in reviews left via Google. The cafe also offers toasted sandwiches stuffed with gammon ham or tuna mayo and cheddar cheese.

Chilli con carne jacket potatoes are also featured on the menu, as well as prawn and avocado. For something more satiating, Cafe Verditer also serves a beef burger, chicken or halloumi.

I popped in with my pooch Rupert, for a late lunch. One dish really stood out to me, which was the breakfast loaded bagel.

This contained two rashers of bacon, sausage, hash browns and a choice of scrambled, fried or poached eggs. It also came with a side of baked beans too.

I skipped coffee and went straight for a glass of prosecco, so for those who love a weekend brunch with bubbles, I’d certainly recommend visiting this lovely spot. The food arrived and looked delish, with thick bacon rashers, and a chunky hash brown.

The egg arrived poached and was perfectly cooked, with the yolk drizzling across the bagel filling once pierced. Served in a small ramekin, the beans arrived hot, and overall I thoroughly enjoyed this dish.

I’m not the only one who is a fan, and Cafe Verditer has several loyal customers who return at least once a week. One customer wrote via Google: “After moving into the area I discovered this gem, which quickly became my go-to cafe for breakfast! (At least once a week)

“The breakfast loaded bagel is truly something special. Top quality service from the staff and a great atmosphere/interior. Couldn’t recommend this place enough if youre looking for breakfast/brunch and/or a coffee!”

Another said: “We come here often when we are in Weybridge and the food never disappoints! Recently went here to celebrate a birthday so we had pancakes as well to share and they were amazing! I had the loaded bagel which is amazing and super filling! Highly recommended!!!”

In total, I spent £8.95 on the loaded bagel, which is an exceptional price considering the portion and quality of the food was excellent. The glass of prosecco came to £5.95, which is also great value for money.
