High Wind and Heavy Snow Cause Blustery Conditions in Everett, Washington

Western Washington was struck with strong winds and heavy snow on Wednesday, January 15, causing virtual white-out conditions near the coast.

This video, taken from Snohomish County offices in Everett, Washington, shows the wind blowing and snow covering the city streets. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph were reported.

According to reports, the snow and winds were downing trees and forcing power outages. As of Wednesday evening, more than 13,000 homes were without power, with outages reported across Edmonds, Arlington, Darrington, Snohomish and Warm Beach.
