The highest-paid Marvel superhero has been revealed, and this year it's not Iron Man's Robert Downey Jr.
It's not any of the Chrises, either.
According to Forbes' calculations, Vin Diesel beat all of his fellow superheroes, picking up $54.5 million from June 1, 2016 to June 1, 2017.

This is no doubt partly thanks to other franchises such as the money-spinning Fast & Furious and xXx.
Vin Diesel, who plays Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and will feature in Avengers: Infinity War, came third overall in the highest-paid actors list (which combines the pay of both male and female stars), behind Mark Wahlberg ($68 million) and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson ($65 million).
Robert Downey Jr is in sixth place with $48 million, with Chris Hemsworth (11th, $31.5 million), Samuel L Jackson (13th, $30.5 million), Jeremy Renner (20th, $19 million), Chris Evans (21st, $18 million) and Chris Pratt (23rd, $17 million) further behind.
The Forbes findings also show that there is significant gender pay disparity.
Oscar winner Emma Stone only came 15th overall, despite being the top-earning female star. At $26 million, she earned only a fraction of top male star Mark Wahlberg's pay.
Overall, the top 10 highest-paid male actors banked $488.5m combined, almost three times the combined $172.5m of the 10 highest-paid female actors.
