Hilariously patronising note left on parked car in Bristol

Many of us have wanted to comment on another driver’s parking, but politeness has left us biting our tongues. However, that wasn’t an option for one angry passerby, who was so offended by someone’s poor parking that they felt the need to leave a note under on their windscreen.

Tom Balson from Bristol spotted the note placed on a Mitsubishi Shogun SUV as he walked past. And far from being a hastily-scribbled dig, he was surprised to see a carefully considered printout of a turtle – with a hilarious message around it.

The note took aim at the car’s apparent inability to park straight. It said: “Many three-year-olds have trouble staying within the lines. If you practice colouring this turtle, it will help you with your parking.”

It’s a more light-hearted message than many other parking disputes that have been seen recently. Earlier this year, an ambulance crew was appalled to find an abusive note left on their windscreen – while they were responding to an emergency in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent.

The note read “If this van is for anyone but No.14 then you have no right to park here. I couldn’t give a s**t if the whole street collapses. Now move your van from outside my house.”

The note was left by 26-year-old Kirsty Sharman, who also shouted abuse at the paramedics when they returned to their ambulance. She was handed a fine for a public order offence and breaching a restraining order.
