Hilary Duff, star of Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and 'Sparks' hitmaker, has welcomed her third child into the world.

The 33-year-old star first announced the post on her Instagram page with a picture of her second child, 2-year-old Banks Violet, in which she wrote: "I’m a big sister ....... marinating on how I feel about that!"

She then followed that up with a black and white photo of herself, Banks, husband Matthew Koma and her first child, 9-year-old Luca Cruz, all sitting in a birthing pool.

Revealing the new baby's name and date of birth, Duff wrote: "Mae James Bair- We LOVE you beauty 3-24-21."

Fellow Disney Channel icon Ashley Tisdale, who welcomed her own child Jupiter Iris French just a day earlier, commented on Duff's photo with a message of congratulations, while Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner, Ashlee Simpson and Meghan Trainor were among those also sending Duff cute messages.

Across 2019 and most of 2020, a Lizzie McGuire reboot was in the works for streaming service Disney+. Unfortunately it was beset with a bevy of issues, with production shutting down after two filmed episodes, and creator Terri Minsky leaving the project over creative differences with the House of Mouse.

In December 2020, Duff and Disney both announced that the project was no longer going ahead, with Duff saying that "everyone tried their best and stars just didn't align."
